Conclusion

The Airush One is a kite shape with one strut. It is pretty obious the 2012 version has been finetuned compared to its 2011 predecessor. It scores high in the base characteristics: it's stable, has a total depower when releasing the bar, gives loads of feedback and relaunches quickly. With a clear pull (on the bar) and go (sail), this kite has excellent qualities for beginning kite surfers.

Its performance is suited for wave riders, has a good drift, has a very small turning circle (center turn) and stays steerable when if depowered. Because this kite (9m) has 1 strut, the canopy may flap when the wind is gusty. Despite this, the kite remains stable and calm on the bar!

This Airush One comes close to the Airush Lithium, but is somewhat more user friendly. Also, the One is less explosive, give more feedback and has a total depower on the bar.
