This is a great kite for the Dutch downwind waveride. It's super stable, drifts like a hot air balloon. The build quality is super. The bar set's the benchmark for the rest of the market. The image + description of the bar on this page is for the old undertow bar. The Noise Pro is delivered with the new undertow bar. It has above the bar de-power (cleat), and a de-power rope protected with a pvc tube.

I bought this quiver of kites for wave riding. I have surfed since I was 10 and joined this wonderful sport to get more day's in the water. The BWS kites are amazing. I'm not a pro rider by any means, that said this group of kites has upped my game. "Game Changer" to say the least. I blame most of what happens in the water on my kiting skills not the kite. It's almost impossible to fly under this kite. It will drift back into the wind and get back to flying. I don't think I have seen it back stall one bit. I was showing some guys on the beach how it will float down the line while your surfing. I can run down wind and the kite stays in place while it drifted back without stalling. My riding has become more fluid and feels more like I'm surfing rather than being pulled on a wave. I would suggest you find your local BWS guy and take it for a ride. Unfortunately you will have to explain to your wife why you need 3-4 more kites. I have the 6,8,10, and 12M V2. The 12/14m turns a bit slow but that's what you get with any big kite. I was out on my 8m in Pismo Beach with 25 knots and it was just spectacular. My 10M get's the most use in Venture, while the 12M fly's in San Diego. My board of choice right now is my 5'10 Hellfire from Firewire. It can be strapped, but I ride it strapless. I'm looking into a new board as I think the Hellfire will only take me so far. I need something a bit more loose from rail to rail. Hope this helps if you're deciding on the BWS brand.

What we like:
The BWS team has tested this kite to excel in the waves. That means it needs to have great relaunch, good stability and safety, smooth turning and plenty of power. The Noise definitely has all of those features and more. Most of all, we love the super smooth power output and upwind performance. The bar is also really comfortable and packed with features you need.

What we didn't like:
Some riders reported that this kite is a little slow through the wind window in the bigger sizes (10m and 12m). The kite also pulls about 1m or 2m bigger for each size (the 8m is like a 10m etc.) which can confuse customers and riders.

Why you want the Noise V2:
This kite is awesome and if riding in the waves is your thing, you definitely need look at the Noise. The 6m and the 8m are REAL's favorite sizes and if you are lucky enough to get a session on one of these kites you won’t look back. There are even a growing number of flatwater kiters adding the Noise to their quivers because of the great low end power and huge boosting potential.

I don't think I could find a better kite for wave riding. It does what I want when I want it. Price is great which is important, but more important is how it feels. No matter the wind direct or wave size and condition I found it so much fun. I clipped wave with the kite one session and it managed to stay in one piece and relaunched straight away.
Great kite and the 10 rocks in light winds as well
