Bar
1 | Most direct bar feeling
The unique hollow Unibody construction reduces the weight by 43% whilst at the same time increasing the breaking load. The intelligent mass distribution and reduction of the mass moment of inertia (by 55%) enables a noticeably more direct feeling of the kite. In addition, the leveled bar ends reduce, through improved leverage, the bar steering force.
2 | Revolutionary Safety
The ergonomically designed revolutionary rotor quick-release enables an intuitive safety release with the least amount of effort. In contrast to traditional systems there is no power required against the flow of the water. At CORE the entire safety system, quick- release and the new leash, work together harmoniously. With this the SENSOR-Bar not only exceeds the highest standards, but also sets new levels in safety.
3 | Unsurpassed Comfort
CORE presents the only 100% self unswivelling bar system. The mid-bar grip ability was optimised with a further development of the line guides and a noticeably thinner bar diameter. The low wear adjuster halves the trimming effort required with the new adjuster. The SENSOR-Bar is suitable for all kite sizes – one bar for all. The SENSOR Pro-Leash and Pro-Loop are available for pro riders.

The main use I had it for was wave riding and love the way it went upwind to give me an unfair advantage over other riders, allowing me to catch more waves :)
For a quite high-aspect kite it drifted extremely well, I had many situations the wave caused me to slack the lines and I thought the kite would crash for sure? But the XR3 is so stable and never let me down.
The people who are going to like this kite the most is probably going to the all-round rider that likes to boost big long high jumps, for this the XR3 has to be one of the best kites on the market.
Maybe the only con for me was that it is not as fast at turn a the GTS, but turns quite fast and really does do everything!!
Highly recommend to try one if you get the chance, great kite with a great quality build, but check for yourself ;)

We've tested the XR3 in a wide range of conditions and the results are all the same - every person that tests it out loves it. It's a hard task to please everyone but that's what the XR3 manages to achieve - the XR3 is a solid all around performer. The Speed Valve 2 inflation system is totally bad ass. You just twist the pump hose right into the inflate valve and pump away. This way every pump works!
What we don't like:
If you are focused on unhooked tricks - the shape and design of the kite means that it's not going to slack out as much as you'd like. If you're looking for more pop-and-drop, take a look at the Core GTS2.
Why you want the Core XR3:
Because you are looking for a kite that won't hold you back as you progress in your chosen discipline. If we had to pick one area, we'd say that this kite is an excellent choice as a wave kite because it goes upwind well, is super stable and reliable.
