Kite

4 line, 3 strut SLE freestyle/wave kite

Designer goals (manufacturer text)

The brand new three strut construction of the GTS3 is revolutionary rather than evolutionary. Nevertheless GTS fans will instantly feel right at home. They will however be amazed at the playful precision, the noticeable improvement in unhooked characteristics, plus the incredible lift and hang-time.

Features

Performance Blade Shape Icon

3-STRUT FRAME

Two less struts results in two additional advantages: Firstly, the GTS3 now turns faster and more directly – new levels of performance have been achieved especially with kiteloops and while wave riding. Secondly, it’s noticeably lighter and more perfectly balanced. Whenever the lines lose tension the GTS3 holds true in position.

FUTURE-C SHAPE Icon

 FUTURE-C SHAPE

C-Kite-Feeling at its best. Even though the GTS3 turns incredibly fast and direct, the kite still remains easily controllable in each turn. This is thanks to the proven Future-C, which has been cut even deeper with the GTS3, resulting in  a precise and predictable turning radius.

RADICAL REACTION TIPS IconRADICAL
REACTION TIPS

The tips of the GTS3 are pure precision. Thanks to a noticeably thinner, specifically defined flight profile and a newly designed trailing edge they are optimized to the agility of the 3 Strut Construction. A further reason why turning impulses are instantly translated without hesitation.

CORE TEX ®

The fabric exclusively developed for CORE is protected and strengthened with three different coating processes. In this way CoreTex® sets new records in load tests, tear resistance, longevity and UV protection. This is noticeable during your session thanks to the crispness experienced whilst flying your kite and another reason why CoreTex® was obvious choice for the GTS3.

SHORT BRIDLE SYSTEM Icon
SHORT BRIDLE SYSTEM

Short Process. The super short bridle system is another deciding factor allowing the GTS3 to transform rider input quickly and directly. The bridle geometry has once again been revised and with this the GTS3 has become, more than ever, a wave and kiteloop machine.

HF-DACRON Icon
HF-DACRON

Sophisticated mix of materials. The kite fabric and tips of the GTS3 have been precision finished, to a defined percentage, with our new HF-Dacron. HF stands for Hard Finish, a harder, coated Dacron variation that stiffens the kite skeleton in the steering relevant areas. In addition it optimizes the energy distribution of the steering input into the kite fabric.

Conclusion

To be curt. The Core GTS3 is versatile. For wave riders, it got its drift, controlled slack line steering and exceptional stability that will handle offshore wind conditions. In the freestyle range the GTS3 had an explosive pop with a gradual boost.
Hooked in or out, in both ways the GTS3 is tuned and doesn't lose performance. Core Kiteboarding managed to make a very versatile allrounder that shows performance in lots of disciplines. So if you search for a freestyle/wave/allround mix. The Core GTS3 is certainly one to test!

I really like how this kite is a great kite for freestyle/ wave riding and foiling. I used to need several kites for each type of riding I do, but now this kite is one of my favorite kites since it is great for all 3 types of riding. The bar has a cool way to untwist the lines by just pulling in the bar. I would say it has lower bar pressure than many other kites, but I like that.

Is the perfect kite for my style, as the kite gives me the right slack to pass the bar on my unhooked tricks and pop for my powered tricks. Also the relaunching is easy and the kite are very stable.

Have been using the 10m GTS3 in changing conditions. From super flat water to chop and gusty wind. Kite is very stable in all conditions. No matter what I was doing I always had a good feedback on the bar. I'm really loving that the GTS3 has even better unhooked performance than the GTS2 whilst even improving it's allround abilities. At first I was a little bit sceptic about the 3 strut construction but I have to say that I would not have noticed it without knowing. Kite is very stable as I sad and has a even lighter feeling in the air. Good slack, sweet unhooked Kiteloops and still a decent allround performance and very easy to use!

The new GTS3 again topped all my expectations.
Mostly i kite nicely powered up to do handlepass tricks and also i like to be overpowered and do boardoffs and kiteloops then. This kite is giving me good performance in all conditions. Its a very allround kite. Made for unhooked tricks, waveriding or big jumps and kiteloops.
Now with 3 struts its just very much lighter and the handling became even easier and more direct. The drift improved a lot which is great after handlepasses and also when you go for a wave session you always stay in control. I love doing strapless jumps with my surfboard and here its also very important that i can feel exactly what my kite is doing and where its standing in the wind window. Together with the smooth flying caracteristics and the depower it has Core managed to build a kite thats really suitable for lots of skill levels and ways of riding. The ultimate all in one kite.

I really love this kite it does all I want, has lots of power, turns fast and depower perfectly.

What I especially like is the 3 struts makes it drift down the line like a dream.

Thanks CORE

The Core GTS3 is a kite that loves to be ridden with the bar down and a lot of speed. This makes the kite very suitable for riding unhooked what I am mostly doing. The pop that the kite provides is strong and explosive. After the pop you get a good sweet spot to do your handle pass in.

I have been riding the kite with the full wakestyle setting. Meaning slow steering and the most bar pressure options. With this setting the kite was stable in the corner of the window during your tricks and easy to control. When landing full speed down-wind and with slack in your lines the kite easily drifts back into the wind window instead of falling out of the sky.

When the wind picked up I started with some hooked jumping and got pleasantly surprised by the boost. Getting high was easy and explosive while the kite still carries a lot of glide for a Future C-shape.

Although I am focussing on wakestyle I find versatility very important in a kite. With this kite I can go high and also do wakestyle, take a surfboard and it will still amaze and surprise you. Thats why my best description would be: "Core GTS3, an allround high performance kite!"

Got the opportunity to try the new GTS3 11m. I am mostly riding hooked in, with a love for kiteloops and kiteloop transitions. I read its a freestyle/wave kite so I tried it both in the standard settings. The most impressive feeling was the hooked in boost. Gradual but strong while the kite turns round (tip turn). Push the bar away in the loop and the kite will accelerate to the wind window. The stability of the new Core kite is impressive again, the kite won't fly out of the wind window even if you pull on the de-power line with your kite on 12 hour, or if you make a bad jump and swing under your kite. No worries, the new GTS3 always drift back in the wind window.
The new GTS has a short de-power stroke. Under 15 knots the GTS3 it felt like a all-rounder, unhooked it had great pop. When the wind picks up above 15 knots (11m) the GTS3 immediately improved in a high-performance kite for hooked in riders. More acceleration, really explosive lift and a more powerful boost. So it felt you have to ride it in its high end to get the best hooked in performance. I was out for a hour, felt immediately comfortable, only the boost surprised me in its travel distance!
Sorry, other surfer .... sorry for the horizontal off axis passage :-}
