An all terrain kite that can be summed up in 3 words: simple, powerful, fun
Designers goals (manufacturer text)
The design team started by working intensively on numerous Strut-less kite designs which took several months of testing and countless prototypes. These kites proved to be extremely lightweight with a great amount of raw power and possessed a very direct feel. Although these results proved to be successful there appeared multiple compromises in the performance that over shadowed the benefits of the Strut-less kite design that we were simply not willing to accept.
The SOLO evolved through multiple iterations from half struts to battens that eventually led to a very thin, low profile center strut. Our dream that became a vision is now a reality called the SOLO, An ultra light weight, single strut design that offers unparallel efficiency, stability and wind range of any kite on the market today with the added benefit of pack ability for travel. We are excited to introduce the SOLO, an all terrain kite that can be summed up in 3 words: simple, powerful, fun

I have ridden a lot of modern user friendly kites, and this is one of the best all around performers.
Not been that impressed with liquid force before, but this kite is a standout in the whole industry, not just their line.
Very light feeling in the air with very responsive, quick, predictable turning. Light-Medium bar pressure with very good feel, until depowered very far then there will be some vibration at the bar from the kite flapping.
Upwind is awesome, very much a strong point of this kite.
Depower is endless! extremely depowered the kite flaps enough that you dont really want to ride like this, but it can save you when the wind picks up unexpectedly or during strong gusts.
Low end is, to put it simply, amazing.
Doesn't drag you downwind like some other kites with grunt. It gets you going then drives forward in the window to keep you upwind.
Boosts great because the depower is so effective that you can aggressively send the kite without being pulled off your edge. Long hang time.
Drift...Better than any kite I've flown. With the bar sheeted out and riding towards the kite it just hangs there and maintains steering control. This combined with the quick intuitive turning makes this kite a dream come true for wave riding.
Relaunches like a basketball.
Build...Triple ripstop seems like a step in the right direction. It feels like there is a lot of coating on it too. Can't comment on longevity as its still basically new.
I have to say that having only one strut makes pack down at the end of a long session really easy. Makes me never want to deflate a five strut kite again!
This kite hits all the strong points.
Super wide range but with great feel.
Im not affiliated with a brand or shop, just a regular rider, and I never write reviews, but to me this kite was such a big step forward that I had to share.
