Designers goals (manufacturer text)

The Cabrinha Switchblade once again proves why it is the worlds most loved kite. With Nick Jacosens recent King of the Air title, his world record Woo jump of 28 meters, and his mind bending jump from the top of the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai (a height of 210 metres), it's clear that the Switchblade’s performance is legendary.
But what the competition hasn't been able to replicate is the Switchblade’s unrivaled combination of high performance and ease of use.

Whether you are working on your freestyle game or testing your limits of getting incredible air, the Switchblade will deliver with a class of predictability and reliability that can not be found anywhere else.

The 5 strut Switchblade, what would be the low-end. The less material the lighter the kite. Light kites have the best low end. Well the Switchblade 12m in 9 knot and no problems. Yes, you can feel that the kite is a bit heavier than the 1 or 3 strut kites but the Switchblade is so well balanced that the light wind can carry the kite. Under 9 knots you need a bigger and probably a lighter kite. A bigger Switchblade would be to heavy ( to much materials ) for less than 8 knots. The kite characteristics are great for foiling above 9 knots, good feedback, fast turning and a long power/de-power stroke. With to much tension on the back lines, in light winds the Switchblade can backstall a bit. Again with the weight of 5 struts thats normal. Maybe a 3 strut Switchblade in the future?

The Cabrinha Switchblade feels the same for a long time. Why changing a winning game! It's one of the most popular kites on the market and I can understand why. This kite is made for a big group of kitesurfers. It has good feedback and easy jumping characteristics. The Switchblade has a great score in all the important allround characteristics, no crazy stuff with the Switchblade.
