Designers goals (manufacturer text)
The RSeries is the ideal kite for performance riding in all styles and conditions. Its versatile crossover character adopts to the rider's preferences, enabling him or her to boost big airs, throw spray of the lip of a wave or even land handle pass tricks.
We placed the turning axis of this four-line kite at its shoulder to create the perfect balance between powerful tip turning and a pivotal center turning. This results in smooth turning velocity with a good amount of grunt. Perfect to initiate big air jumps and old school tricks.
A medium to high aspect ratio ensures you have a good lift/drag ratio. The RS provides a grunty pull and when triggered, it will take you up to massive heights. The design ensures that you sail down gently as the kite easily catches you. Even in choppy waters or gusty wind, going upwind is easy. The combination of bridle set up, sweep and aspect ratio ensures a wide wind range, stability and a position in the wind window that pulls you upwind.
In short, the RS is a very agile but stable performance freeride kite that guarantees fun!

Coming from a 2017 Ozone Zephyr 17... this thing has so much more power and response. Review I posted on kiteforum.
lright, trying to contribute where possible. I use this site all the time so I plan on reviewing all new gear.
Just rode the RS14 for the first time... love it, super meaty!
I was looking for a third, low wind kite for my quiver (my other 2 are hybrid c's), and after trying a number of other kites, I tried the RS14 and felt like it was ideal for the type of conditions I'm looking for.
There is a lot of power. When you sheet in the power is immediate and significant. I believe it's good for beginners since it's a bow and bombproof, but coming off an NV and Zephyr, this kite is faster and more dynamic so should be able to keep intermediate and advanced entertained.
Flys middle of window, I believe makes a decent wave kite but not designed for it. Super steady. Very easy relaunch.
So the biggest surprise for me is it's ability to boost. In 18 kts I hit a small wave kicker and shot up 30 ft... that is ridiculous. Also, coming down felt like I was in an old folks home elevator. Basically a top end freeride kite.
Overall I highly recommend.
Pros
Boosting in light wind!
Bombproof
Responsive
Tons of power
Excellent quality
Value
Attractive
Cons
Bag could be a little bigger
Faster than the Zephyr which is held in the highest regard, but a 14 with 10 ft extensions... not as fast as hybrid c. I guess i'm asking for the impossible.
