Designers goals (manufacturer text)

We designed the FSeries for ambitious and advanced riders. This performance open C four-line kite excels in freestyle and big air while providing the upwind and wind range qualities of a freeride kite.
The advanced short bridle system enhances the stability and control. The tow-point is close to the wingtips, tuned to provide a tip turning character with a fast steering and an explosive deploy of power when looping.
The moderate sweep of the wing tips adds to the performance: The kite generates a rapid vertical lift for big airs. Freestyle riders will appreciate the line slack and travel of the kite. Even the most advanced handle pass tricks suddenly become achievable.
We gave special attention to the low end and upwind capabilities of the FS to ensure that you can concentrate on jumps and tricks rather than on tacking upwind. The well-balanced aspect ratio has the ideal lift/drag ratio to take you swiftly upwind even in light winds while coming with a crisp, agile steering speed.
The FS design parameters are the fundamental DNA, to provide the essence of performance in this category. Make sure to look up our E/8 Trusted Quality section for more information on the many features and quality aspects of the FS.

Wrote a review on kiteforum so I will recycle that... love these kites.

First entry...
Thx all for feedback! Here is mine. I just rode one and loved it. I went out in 40 degree water and froze my a$$ off, but stayed out for 1.5 hours. Here are first impressions. Know that I'm a relative noob and this was my first hybrid c kite flight. I'm comparing this to the Liquid Force Wow, NV, and the Ozone Zephyr.

- Jumping... IT RIPPED ME OUT OF THE WATER LIKE A ROCKET. Need to work on form, but I can say with confidence it has substantial more height potential than anything I've been on.
- i rarely do loops, I was looping like crazy and felt that the power coming out of a transition was more manageable
- Build quality excellent
- Details excellent
- Good lord it takes a lot of air to fill up! hahaha, maybe b/c it was so cold out.
- 5 struts and battens, shape held beautifully
- attractive design, received some compliments
- For a 12 and flying it near the bottom of the wind range... it was SO much faster but with control than my LF NV. I felt like it was a Ferrari going down a bowling alley with bumpers vs a mach truck with lots of airbags (not sure how else to explain). Can't wait for more wind.
- Slightly intimidated at first moving from SLE to C kite, but oddly enough it was almost easier to depower b/c the kite went to front of window much quicker even though bar depower didn't immediately release as much wind

Can't wait to master hybrid c kites, all i know is that the kite is top quality and for me i was jonesing for more at the end of the session. Compared to LF, felt like a significant quality upgrade.

Second entry...

Alright... 2nd time on the kite and I just broke my height record in comparatively low wind... BOOM! On FS 12M in 19 knots gusting to 21; with wave kicker made it slightly over 30 ft. I could have handled a lot more wind, maybe 25 knots? To compare, my max jump on the LF Envy 12 was 22 ft, almost a 50% improvement. My previous record was 28 ft on a LF Envy 7M in 30-35 knots. Can't wait for big wind!

Other observations.
- Accelerates faster.
- More all around control
- Kite infinitely more responsive.
- Window not as large a bow kite, but still plenty large.
- I couldn't get it to stall! I had some decent wipe outs where my Envy would have been toast, but the FS just sat there waiting for me.
- Harder to relaunch, but that goes with a C. Not bad after a couple times.

third entry...

Update. This kite boosts!

First time on the FS09 I broke my height record, 37.5 feet in 25g30. Prior record (other than FS12) was 28 ft on Liquid Force NV07 in 30G35. That's basically 35% more air in 20% less wind. Ridiculous. It did stall once, but completely my fault, swung way underneath and landed in water. Took a couple seconds to pop it back out of water. I had it at 9 PSI, I recommend that in higher wind days.

I have tried this kite and adopted it as it is the best compromise I have found on water. It is quick, stable, easy upwind and easy relaunch. Best of all it will lift me high, much higher than any kite I have owned before, give massive airtime with easy landing, and has made kiteloops/downloops easier. Build quality is impressive. Just a good kite for every windy day. I have 8 and 12 that cover all my needs between 10 and 40 knots.
