Designer Goals
Improved steering control, and smoother depower. The wingtips are smaller which should result in less drag. The leading edge is made of two sections which should result in more control during turns. According to Nasih the Torch '09 is a C-shape with the depower of a SLE.

Test conditions
Kitesize: 10 m
Wind: 17 - 28 kts
Rider: Tjitze Postma (70 kg)
Location: Flat water
Conclusion
Even in strong wind conditions the Torch can be setup so to be unhooked. High jumps and a long glide phase can also be accomplished when the setup is right. Takes some experience to get the most out of the kite. Great for wake/freestyle kiters, less suitable for beginners.
