Conclusion:
We were given this kite and we were told that this was freestyle/wave kite. Interesting combination: for freestyle we expect a lot of pop and slower kite reaction where a wavekite requires short turning circles and gradual power buildup in the flightlines.
But we were suprised when testing this kite. It was tested in various conditions ranging from 12 to 30 kts. wind by wave riders, (competition) freestylers and old school gliders.
The kite was described as a soft feeling, reliable kite with powerfull pop and spicy boost in 23+Kts conditions by our freestyler. Hooked in it is a great kite for overpowered kiteloops, unhooked it has a small sweetspot.
What stood out most is the range the kite can be used in. Underpowered it is not the best kite around, but in the stronger winds is where the nomad is good!
Freestyle/wave? Because of the different setup options the kite is suitable for both, but it is also suitable for an intermediate kiter who want a kite that he/she can trust.
