Designer goals
Naish made a radical change in it's shape with the Cult. Huge windrange. The gradual power buildup gives the rider confidence.

Naish Cult 10.5 2008
Naish changed the shape with the Cult. We wanted to know why and called Naish to ask if we could test one. We were a bit sceptical about the shape and the marketing of the kite. but to be honest, the Cult is truely something else. The windrange is enormous, primarily due to it's lack of boost. Because there is no boost in the flightlines the kite gives the rider confidence and a feeling of control. So, who would like it? Strapless wave riders will love it for it's constant pull and allrounders for it's predictability.
Basics
Kite re-launch
With little wind the kite will remain on the water and the rider needs to work to get it up in the air again, but with wind over 12 Kts. relaunch is easy
Safety system
Kite stability
Total depower
Total depower, and when depowered still easy to control. In gusts or when moving towards the kite, the kite quickly moves to the edge of the wind window again.
Windrange
Huge, going upwind on a twintip with 13 kts all the way to 25 kts. (testrider 92 kilo)
Oldskool
Lift
Soft buildup of power and lift, unless you are extremely overpowered.
Glide phase
High-end
Low-end
Never have I seen a kite that would allow me (92Kg 202Lbs) to go upwind as easy with low wind as with the cult.
Wave
Turning circle
Feedback at edge of wind window
Steering with low line tension
Good control when fulle depowered.
