Kite
High performance Allround kite for advanced riders. Each size has it's own "DNA" (Geometry, strut layout, materials and briddle configuration).
Designer Goals
The Taboo range represents a new concept in building the ultimate quiver of high performance kites.
Each size of the Taboo is uniquely engineered to optimize performance for specific riding conditions. Every aspect of design, shaping, material selection and construction has been tested and selected to create the ultimate ride in every kite size.
The Taboo delivers an unprecedented experience for hardcore riders who long to push beyond the limits of their current quiver. Ranging from 4m to 17m, there is a Taboo for all wind speeds and all advanced riding styles. Each size in the range blends a different balance of 'control', 'power' and ‘flow’ allowing you to completely reinvent your riding game.
Unhooked big-wave riders and Wakestyle enthusiasts will find that the smallest Taboos offer the perfect blend of tight and fast steering responsiveness, light bar pressure and unhooked control, allowing them to express their style like never before.
New-school riders in the hunt for eye-popping kite-loops will be blown away by the uncompromising power delivery and handling from the mid-sized Taboos. Hooked or unhooked the Taboo remains rock solid stable to the limits of its wind range.
Bar
The Red-Line Performance bar uses our new moulded, push to release QR with integrated swivel. With only one moving part and no complex internal mechanical parts the ‘Click-it QR’ is easy to reassemble and designed to work consistently with a positive release action even under several hundred kilograms of load.
With an integral swivel sitting on top of the chickenloop assembly untwisting your lines and swapping between hooked-in and unhooked riding just got a whole lot easier. This is the perfect bar for riders of all levels who demand the most reliable and predictable safety system but still need all the features our previous bars have had to offer.
A dual-depower center line with integral moulded stopper allows you to trim the bar position, taking the strain so you can concentrate on your next move. The Redline safety system passes directly through the center of the stopper ball, providing a safety override regardless of how you use the stopper.
One bar for all kites, the Standard has been set.

Conclusion
The Best Taboo is a true advanced rider kite. It likes to creep to the edge of the wind-window which causes it to be a bit unstable. The key quality of the Taboo can be found in its unhooked characteristics as the sweet-spot and the pop. Hooked the power buildup is quite explosive and will offer a good high-end and glide phase. Partly due to the kite-profile, the Taboo tends to be a bit nervous on the bar.
The depower stroke on the Taboo is short. With only half an arm length the Taboo can be completely depowered.
Not that the Taboo was designed with a different philosophy than the other kites in the Best range. The Taboo was designed per size, so different sizes will present a whole different feel! The 10M Taboo is specialists very suitable for unhooked action!
